Do you love a somatic romance?

The kind you feel in your chest, gut, and throat? And at the end, after you let out the breath you didn’t know you were holding, you kick your feet and smile until your cheeks hurt?
every story ends
with hope

Hi, I’m Cate

I’m in love with stories where two broken people find each other and somehow fit together perfectly. I love when things aren’t actually hopeless after all and everything works out even though — on paper — it shouldn’t.
Basically,

I’m obsessed with the idea of a world where
everyone gets to find love

I’d love for you to come live with me in that world for a little while. I promise — the endings are the very happiest.
Everything I write is about this:

Things can fall apart — and still come back together. Every story ends with catharsis.

With hope. With something whole, real, and hard-earned.

Three things about
a CCW story

Real
people

Flawed, messy, and a little banged up, but resilient and worthy of love — like all of us.

Hits the ground at full speed

Not every story I write starts with
a gut punch, but best be prepared.

Hard-earned happy endings

I deal in rejection, betrayal, second
chances, growth, and catharsis.
But it’s going to be

so, so sweet
in the end

Question

What are you working on now?

Answer

Right now, I’m working on The Moon Blessed Wolf’s Rejected Mate, Kennedy and Tye’s story. For more frequent updates on where I am in the writing process, sign up for my newsletter or join The Cate C Wells Reader Group on Facebook.

Question

When is your next release?

Answer

I've learned that deadlines give me writer's block, so my usual practice is to put a book up for pre-order when I send the completed manuscript to my editor. In general, editing and proofreading takes about six to eight weeks. Some books take two or three months to write while some take six months or longer. To get a notification when books release, sign up for my newsletter or follow me on Amazon, BookBub, or Goodreads.

Question

Is my favorite character getting a book?

Answer

I hope so, lol.

I have ideas for dozens of stories — Harper from Steel Bones, Jesse, Rory, and Brice from Stonecut County, Lucca, Tomas, & Sara from Underboss Insurrection, and lots of folks from The Five Packs. I want to write Kennedy & Tye, Amir, Nia & Pritchard, Seth & Drona, Leith & Tandie, Trevor & Izzy, Abertha, and a lot more. (Still don’t have an idea for Bevan, though.)

Time being finite, I will not be able to to them all in this lifetime, but dammit, I’ll try.

Question

How can I get the bonus content?

Answer

You can get the bonus epilogues, prologues, and deleted scenes by signing up for my newsletter. They are also linked in a pinned post in my Facebook reader group.

Question

I have a specific question about a specific book.

Answer

I love it. I answer reader questions on Goodreads, and I also hang out in The Cate C Wells Reader Group on Facebook. Ask away!
